Yeti

I was born a Jew
But could only say it’s as ‘you’
I said it’s like in ‘dew’
They heard it as Hindu
And deported me to India
I said I am protesting
The Orientals heard it ‘protestant’
They packed me to Europe
“Are you mad? ”, And they heard it ‘Ahamed’
And dumbed me in Syria
Ok, I ceased to say another word
They decided I was a monk
And dropped me over Tibet
There I walked up the snow
And my foot went numb and sore
I left a big foot trail
They now call me Yeti

Water under the bridge

Rack your brain
Can you see what went wrong?
Burn your heart
Does it sting burned heap you carried so long?
Steam up your conscience
Can you find any hope to carry along?
Why cry now
When the weather has passed far long

Love is rare, but never fair

Is it because I am so rare
Lady, you give me such a stare,
And you blush like a red flare
Whenever I go all bare.

You watch me striding straight and tall

And smiling from every wall,
My face is what sells big and small
My voice sends people rock & roll.

When I play prince Hamlet

And die at the end of the ballet,
Women drop down and turn violet
Tears smear their face smooth as velvet.

If I put my name in a poll

There is a stampede in the hall,
As women rush to punch on my roll
On the rest, it takes a heavy toll.

Men complain I am obnoxious

Never heard the word, does it means ferocious?
Why bother to be any anxious
Even if it means I am vicious

Old men say I am very rude

Because I make my own rule
I say, you’re missing the point dude
It’s all jealously in your mood.

My lady, think not I am unfair

And break hearts beyond repair
You believe I ride on my skin’s fair?
Hey, the magic is all in my charm and flair

So nestle my lady beneath my arm

My touch can summon every charm
I will keep you forever safe and warm
Far away from every harm.

Leverage time

Lester let me see you,
Faster the veils up, the better,
Crisp songs for want of time,
Lester pray in fervent rhyme,
Of corners you cut aside
Drags me from life’s sunshine,
Lester wake from lazy yawns,
Wave away delusions hide
Crisis for leverage time

Last fable

Between a sigh and a deep breath
I watch a tick of time pass by,
Like whispers of a fable from my birth
A story retold till my last breath.

Of age and agony crawling my veins,
Wasted dreams dancing by my eyes,
In sick days and in my rusty heart
A flickering flame of life is held tight.

I wonder what for and what more

Is this one last fight worth before,
Wind and water, land and sky
In one final gesture fall apart.

In the hide of a passing breeze

My brethren, I let my life slip away,
In one passing tick of time
My story fades away.

Last ferry

I see the road,
Further up like a blot;
Sinking in the evening sky,
Fading away in dying sun’s gilt,
Lurking mist curtail the sense,
As life recline to pallid dense;
Of this road taken, none return,
The living dread its turn;
The firemen hurry,
Morticians worry,
And along the banks of the dead,
The boatman untie the ferry;
When we take this way,
Life walks away.

Home

I have come home,
A place my giggles languish
And hums lullaby rhymes,
My memories remain placid
Unblemished and un-stirred,
Longing for that one touch
That sent ripples down the alley,
Where childhood dreams perch,
I may have grown a modern man,
But when dreams go dry
And draw beyond my reach,
I return to this place
Where my giggles languish,
Where dreams flow free,
A place I call home,
Where ever I may roam,
